A new separate painting and ceramic studio was built to compliment the main house. The form of the building references that of the main home and shares the same reclaimed hardwood siding. The decision to fully conform to the Passive House standard was made early and the end result was one of the first certified Passive Houses on Long Island. A double wall construction conceals the level of technical detail employed. The aesthetic is simple on the interior; clean, light and big windows.
